The word "Gossip" comes from the order given to the assistants of established politicians to go and  "Sip a Brew" with their constituents at the local Pub Houses to get a feel of what they were thinking about their Elected Official.  Said swiftly the order was to "Go sip a brew." 

Hmmmmm...Go sip...GOSSIP!
